I’ve spent much of the afternoon at the church today mostly to make sure that the baptistery was filled and the water warm. I’m still trying to get that where I want it and so have decided to hold up in the office, do some work and perhaps some reading. The phone has been ringing off the hook with people asking about the Easter morning services. Now I know we have all of that information on the voice mail, but I have been picking up and actually have had some wonderful conversations with people.

We have recently added a new worship service at First Christian Church of North Hollywood. This service meets on Wednesday evenings and is a prayer and meditation experience with an emphasis on healing. The service offers people a time of quiet for prayer, meditation and reflection during their hectic week as well as an inspirational homily. What started as an experiment for the season of Lent has proven to address a need in our community for this type of experience. We are planning to continue the service and it has become the start of a new Healing Ministry we are developing.
