Are you looking for an interesting, informative, exciting young adult event to be a part of? Are you looking for a conference to help build up your young adult ministry skills, faith, and community? Do you need something to take your young adult group to?
The Young Adult Events book is an effort to catalogue and update available conferences and events for young adult ministry, young adult ministry training, and more. You can add pages to this book about young adult events available in your region or area. In addition, you can edit other pages with information on upcoming events or your own experiences.
This is a community-developed book of opportunities, so it depends on your input.
Each page should cover one young adult event. If there already is a page for an event that you wish to share about, please click on the page and "edit" it to add your own info. If there isn't a page, click create book page on the menu on the left to start one.
The Young Adult Ecumenical Forum is a young adult organized event that brings leaders from all over the world together for conversation and progress on key issues of our day. The conference includes speakers from colleges, seminaries, and community organizations, as well as fellowship and small group time. Participants are challenged to start projects in their local community that deal with the issues discussed.
I went to the Young Adult Ecumenical Forum in 2005, and it was overall an interesting event. There were several Disciples and a mix of other young adults from other denominations. The conversation was fairly good. More surprising, the entire event was really initiated and planned (and continues to be) by volunteers with limited funds. It's a great achievement.
