The Young Adult Ecumenical Forum is a young adult organized event that brings leaders from all over the world together for conversation and progress on key issues of our day. The conference includes speakers from colleges, seminaries, and community organizations, as well as fellowship and small group time. Participants are challenged to start projects in their local community that deal with the issues discussed.
I went to the Young Adult Ecumenical Forum in 2005, and it was overall an interesting event. There were several Disciples and a mix of other young adults from other denominations. The conversation was fairly good. More surprising, the entire event was really initiated and planned (and continues to be) by volunteers with limited funds. It's a great achievement.

The conerence this year is being held in Boston, MA on July 26-29 and will cover the topic of "Environmental Justice."
